Waiting for 2019’s centenary, La Scolca dedicates the next 100 days at the preparations to celebrate with all its “lovers” this important goal and watershed towards the future.
Unlike the Godot of Beckettian memory, the waiting for La Scolca’s centenary is packed with appointments that respect the pragmatic and workaholic method of the historic company of Gavi, which today sees with passion as leading characters Chiara Soldati, who added her own “singular” and “feminine” style to the solid family tradition and a totally italian glamour touch, and her father Giorgio Soldati, that can be considered the one who believed the most in the future of Gavi. He wanted the Doc in 1974 and the Docg in 1998, he was the founder of the Gavi’s consortium and he was the first to become president. La Scolca registers in 1969 the brand ”Gavi dei Gavi®”, which became a must in the entire world.
The Soldati’s family transformed the Cortese’s grapes in authentic and proper gold nuggets of a poor and harsh territory that the Soldati’s family/ La Scolca’s, for four generations, managed to make unique and generous, thanks to the intuitions that in time rewarded an entrepreneurial approach that seemed visionary: from the Cortese’s choice, to the continuous investment in the acquisition of woods and vineyards, almost all owned, that guarantee the excellence of the product, the biodynamic balance and the health of the environment.
The company is in an unstoppable phase of growth and is getting closer to one million bottles, already distributed in at least 40 countries, without forgetting their main focus on the Italian market to confirm the bond and the love for their own country.
La Scolca prepared itself for this appointment with an important plan of investments that saw completed the renovation of the basement, like all the biggest and high-profile wine houses in Italy and abroad have already done or planned to do – and a new report is ready to be completed with the custumers to whom they offer an immersive tasting experience, which blend product and territory in an unbreakable genetic bond that shows the true DNA La Scolca – soon it will open the pre-booking/waiting list for the visit in the company starting from January 2019.
Experience that continues on the renovated website – since September 14th – and an attention increasingly “social” towards the international community of importers, distributers, retailers and consumers.
On the inside front, changes don’t lack starting from a real organizational revolution to give the company a more competitive asset to support the increasingly growing and steady internationalization of the brand, that marches at an opening pace of 5 countries/market a year.
The heart of the strategy of the program La Scolca – waiting for Cento – is to be suitable to become the medium/channel/vehicle of communication of others Italian excellences with whom it shares values and passions – like Giorgetti 120th, Ferretti Group, Maserati, UnoPIU just to mention some of them – that managed to conquer with their talent the international markets and with whom it celebrates the desires and aspirations of the most demanding consumers of the entire world.
